Thunderstorms and Allergies

I went with boots today mostly because I knew it was going to be wet and soggy outside. I didn’t go with the Hunter’s (which every girl in NYC seems to be wearing these days).

I wore a pair of faithful brown leather riding boots. They aren’t as cheery as the red boots. I’m afraid they are done for after this season. It’s time for the donation pile.

Something to be thankful for – the rain definitely helps my allergies.

Mercredi

I was feeling rather allergic to the city today and have to admit it wasn’t my best day.

I wore black Banana Republic trousers and some shirt that I’m definitely giving away. The shoes are fairly comfortable. I did cheat and wear my trainers to and from the subway. I suppose I’ll keep them for a time and maybe force myself to try actually wearing them all day like a proper lady.

The Benadryl is getting the best of me this week and I still my allergies seem to be winning.

What shoes to wear tomorrow…

Shoe Parade

I have only worn these one other time and then it was just a walk to my local bar, Jake’s Saloon. I think I managed to stumble home with them on and not change into flip flops.

For Easter Sunday, I wore these with a black sheath dress. I met my friend and her mother at Neary’s. This is a restaurant on the eastside where former and current Mayors dine. It’s an old-timey Irish restaurant with warm lighting and excellent food.

We had far too many glasses of wine and a few too many Irish coffees. The shoes were still comfortable when I poured myself into a taxi and made my way to the next gathering.

They stay in the KEEP pile.

Shoe Experiment

I own over 100 pairs of shoes. I’ve decided that each day I’m going to wear a different pair of shoes and write about how it goes.

If the shoes aren’t comfortable, I’m donating them to Soles4Souls charity. There website is here: http://www.soles4souls.org/.
